The Velocity Patching process emerged in the early 1980’s following extensive research carried out in the United States.

Velocity staff have been heavily involved in the development of Velocity Patching technology since 1985 and brought the process to the United Kingdom in 1997.

Over twenty years of product and process development has culminated in the Velocity Road Repair Machines that we manufacture and operate today. 

Velocity Machines not only provide excellent repairs to all types of potholes, they also enable the following:

• Sealing and extending the life of conventional repairs

• Velocity Machines do not leave any waste material as the machines repair the road surface directly with no need for excavation or further damage to the road surface.

• Velocity Machines apply the Velocity Patching process very quickly and efficiently leading to fewer road closures and less public inconvenience. The repairs can also be trafficked immediately.

• The repairs carried out by Velocity Machines are much longer lasting than conventional patching machines as material is keyed into the existing surface and superior bond coating prevents water ingress.

Velocity understands that the Velocity Road Repair Machine itself represents only a very small part of the Hole Solution. 

Our ongoing success results from using only the highest quality aggregates and bitumen emulsions to ensure longer lasting repairs. 

Our machine operators are trained to the highest standard and we provide this same level of training to everybody who operates third party Velocity Machines. Velocity is the sole provider of training and assessment for the NVQ in Velocity Patching.

We have an ever growing fleet of machines available for contract hire together with a team of highly skilled machine operators and our own expert training providers. 

Our workshop is located at our Sunderland HQ and employs fully qualified and experienced mechanics to manufacture machines to customer specifications and also to service and maintain Velocity Machines. 

We boast our very own design department using modern CAD technology to further advance both the process and technology used in Velocity Machines. 

All Velocity Machines are fitted with the very latest GPS technology and our Vehicle Tracking & Reporting system provides comprehensive data for every repair location including Maps. This gives customers a visual analysis of exactly where repairs have been carried out.
